Anastasia is the first. He's an interesting fellow, but there's this weird moment in 491 when the previous emperor Zeno dies. And so what I like about Anastasia is pretty much what you said, that he took his responsibility seriously to govern in the interests of his subjects,. And he did so successfully as far as we can tell. It just happened that the prossopography played out that way.
