Innovation and the Pandemic

In the second phase of the pandemic, in 2021 we saw this broad entrepreneurship wave centered around digital innovation. But I should also say we look at those parts of the innovation economy that haven't also got it done too well. Picking up on what I just said, countries like Germany and Japan, if you look at measures of patent counts, where the ones were more negatively affected by the pandemic. If you look at annual statistics on patent finding for China and the Republic of Korea, it's almost hard to notice that the pandemic happened.
