Did the Women Study Different From the Men in a Great University?

Gertin famously started up its own library because the students were banned from the university library. Gertin managed to raise funds privately from people like Tennyson, George Eliot and they built a beautiful library designed in the late 19th century. I was just thinking how that not being out in the library becomes a metaphor in Wolf, in a room of one's own. She's wondering about this college, and she can't stand on the grass, and she cannot go into the library, and that is a sort of metaphor for exclusion. Not having access to text, not having access to knowledge, therefore nothaving access to elite culture. But yes, of course, we had women scholars
