What Kind of Knowledge Do You Have?
When people essentially treat things that are handed down to them as likely to be true and not really worth being questioned, in many cases it's fine. There are some forms of knowledge which may require more engagement and questioning at an earlier stage. And then final point, learners memorize without reflecting on the purpose or on their own learning strategies. Why dis it say memorize? I mean, it seems to me like the idea is that the target of the kind of wont i say, vitrial, that's probably the right word, target of the criticism here is memorize.
