If you don't think that you can do something, then it's going to feel harder. And part of achieving our resolutions is believing that they're possible. You are literally joining up new nerve cells in the brain to create new pathways or overwrite existing pathways. There is a four step process, which I can go into in a minute, but yeah, it's literally overwriting pathways in your brain. It's also physical hard work. That's one of the things that's helpful when you're changing a habit and you feel like giving up. We know exercise is good for you, but also tiring and you need to keep doing it if you ever want to lift a heavier weight
