Is Buddhism Teaching Compassion?

I've always been really interested in compassion and finding ways to make it concrete in the world, you know, so that it's not just a feeling. For sure. I'm interested in that element of compassion particularly. Buddhism teaches compassion by basically saying we don't understand our true nature which is non-dual. We're completely interdependent as beings as well as impermanent.
