The kingdom of god is too big to be produced through self effort. It takes a supernatural manifestation to bring about the expression that is the kingdom of god. The only message that religion will ever have for you is try harder. And when you get done trying what you think is your hardest, religion will show up and tell you you didn't try hard enough.
