The Tombstones of the Nabatians

The tomb inscriptions all more or less follow this format. These are the only texts left behind actually written by nabetians. Theirs is a culture whose only surviving testament is their tombstones. We learn about the names of their gods and get some sense of how they thought of them. In some of these inscriptions, credit is even given to the masons who carved the tomb.
