Character, Ventye, Setting

If you've got a character, one of the first things for the audiences experience is that they connect somehow. You as the story teller, are in charge of who you see do what first. One teacher told me about his dad who abandoned the family when he was about 12 years old. And as he unfolded that story, it was so heartbreaking. I hated his dad. He said my dad had some really good qualities. That's character impathy. The way don richardson said, it is your stacking the deck. There are many other aspects of character that characters are types, that story tellers paint a character a certain way.
