How to Build a Project on Your Own
I would encourage you to find an open source project that you can contribute to our friend Brian Douglas has a project called open-sauced and he helps pair people that want to work on open-source projects with existing projects. Not everybody knows somebody who needs some big thing both of them but I would say even if you don't it makes you feel good too because you get to build a thing and then see it being used.
