The practice of slavery in the biblical text, once we got past the generation of people who used it to normalize their own enslaving practices, has been glossed over as just the way it was bacben. But given that we have not finished dealing with our own legacy of slavery in this country, that gloss sort of participates in our not dealing with slavery in this nation and its legacy. So i think there's proby going to be a lot more good stuff around that. And one of the ways i got into this project was interest in women in the bible who were not well known.
