The Benefits of Sleep

There are lots of things that might be the benefits of sleep, but a lot happens while you sleep and it's hard to pin down for sure. Non-rem sleep is the majority of sleep. It could go back to energy conservation with that circadian rhythm mentality that you're not good at night. There's also conserving your body heat by having your metabolism up. Many herbivores need to be awake longer to get enough nutrition.
