Is There a Doctrine of Depravity?

There are different ways of thinking about original sin, and of sin in general. Some of those include a doctrine of depravity. I think it depends just on how serious a moral condition you think fallen human beings are in. If like some of the magisterial reformers, i mean, if you're more likely to be on the end of the spectrum that thinks you're not just sinful, but you are in a ry pawless moral state before god because of the alienation of human beings from god. And that includes you being depraved. But then it also seems like what we're talking about is actually a mental state, or a dispositional state that god has toward us,
