The Range of District Energy Systems
In Denmark and Copenhagen, we have around 1 million people supplied by district heating. And if I recall correctly, there's actually a number of Nordic countries that use district heating - not just to heat buildings, but also to keep sidewalks free of ice. So this is basically the New York steam system, which supplies, I think, more than 3 million New Yorkers.
