The Sixth Movement Is the Dramatic High Point of the Piece
The sixth movement is really the dramatic high point of the whole piece. Immediately at the opening, we feel a sense of importance and uncertainty that practically has been absent since the second movement. Then we are greeted with another flash point, a moment where the chorus turns to that unison archaic color. It's always a signal that something new is coming.
