i think the training to fire multiple shots is probably not, i mean, it's not what most police officers need in most situations. And so to have that as a hair trigger response in your pocket is a bad idea. Taking another point from this subject matter, you know, the police are now armed with military gear, and so that in itself makes everything more lethal. Soi disagree with arming police with military gear because they're not supposed to be attack forces. They're supposed to be mediating forces in society, which there aren't any longer. A complete overhaul of the way they're armed and trained is necessary to stop these kind of shootings that are happening.

Laurence Gonzales started his career as a journalist and earned a Distinguished Service Award from the Society of Professional Journalists. He then went on to become an editor for multiple magazines, including Playboy back in the day. And he won two national awards from the American Society of Magazine Editors for his work on National Geographic's Adventure magazine.
