Farming Is a Hard Industry to Get Into

It's a hard industry to get into for a bunch of reasons. One is the capital aspect. If you're coming from a multi-generational farm, you have land and equity in that land which makes expanding much easier than starting. And then the other part is people think of running a farm as being a relatively straightforward thing because it's been done by lots of people over a long timeline. But it's not. Unless the farm is giant, it's usually a one person making most of those decisions.
