By 17, dudeck was in training to become a miner. As part of his vocational training, he worked in the coal mine two days a week. He liked the comraderi in the mine, the feeling of mutual reliance. At 19, he was making just over a hundred dollars a month as the goal keeper for a semi pro team while still working for the mine company.
