The Pessimistic View of Race Relations

I think there is a view that's ascendant that's very pessimistic about race relations in particular, but about half the country in general. I would just say, let's not forget that even though it wasn't self branded as white nationalism, Trump came to prominence. He did say Muslim like shut down the Muslims from coming in this country until we figure out what the hell is going on. And then he had his famous moment when he launched saying the Mexicans, their criminals, their rapists. There are some people on the left who would argue any sort of racial identity group politics that happens on the left is almost like a backlash where they say, hey, you guys are attacking in minority groups
