How to Sing a Protest Song

There is so little third person narration in popular music, which is weird only when you consider that in fiction that's basically all there is. I think to myself now if I were to write a song that dealt with an issue or of some sort like that, that I would put it in someone's mouth as some of these songwriters and singers do. There's very little of this way of storytelling which I've never understood. It's just different.
