Is Child-Directed Language Similar Across Different Languages?

Children have incredibly patient interlocutors except for my kids who they get a patient out of her once in a while. But another idea as to how children acquire language is that people talk in a simplified way to them. This kind of language is sometimes called child-directed speech or child-directed input. It's louder, it's slower, it's got lots of nouns and an exaggerated, intonational contour. And the idea is that this child-directed language provides a simplified introduction to language so that they can grab onto something,.
