Hatch's Life and Times
Hatch's first conviction was when he was just 15 years old. He received a sentence of two years supervision for assaulting a 14 year old boy. This acted as no deterrent, and just six months later, he molested an 11year-old boy. In December 1991, Hatch was jailed for three and a half years for attacking a younger victim this time, an eight age boy. On this occasion, his own lawyer warned that he could kill when released. Dr Anthony Wilkins, a psychiatrist, also urged the court that Hatch should be sent to Broadmoor Topscurey Hospital.
