The Importance of Having the Time to Explore
I think I ingested most of my substances probably before legal age. For me that was really my grad school. That time, if there was a writer I admired, I read everything by him. And then for like five years after that, I basically held down 40-hour a week day jobs until I can artist it. So I kind of had this rich period of immersion. Then the next five years were kind of an execution phase where I took a lot of those things that I had kind of like discovered when I was working part time. and did those kind of nights and weekends until I'd worked up my body of work.
