I think Prigoshan was making it up as he went along, or rather he had a certain idea when he started. I'm convinced that idea was not to take power in Russia, not to overthrow Putin. And he was actually sincere when he said at the beginning he wasn't directing this mutiny uprising against Putin. He was really trying to get Putin's attention. It is like a marital spat in which you throw 16 dishes at your spouse's head to get their attention.
