Around this time is when a record number of mostly indigenous sex workers were going missing and nothing was being done about it. In 1987 the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Force they did make a task force that they were going to investigate at least 17 disappearances and murders in the area. And by 1989 they had pretty much given up on this task force. Now let's talk about a woman named Lisa Yalds. She was 38 years old when she met Willie and her son was friends with Willie's nephew. He was like, I'll find him and I'll bring him home for you. Like I'm going to help you out. They formed a real bond. This is in the background
