The $20 Trillion Threat to Taiwan's Economy

Taiwan is so strategically valuable to the US, it would be 'unthinkable' if they lose access to semiconductors. China's raw production capacity completely outstripped the US is right now. I worry a little bit for Taiwan that as the US and other countries see that $20 trillion threat and then diversify away from Taiwan,. That in 10 years, you end up in a world where we like Taiwan and we love that there are democracy but we can't justify it because we've managed to wean ourselves off of semiconductor. And then you just see Taiwan fall.
