The Joy of the Journey, Not the Destination

When i was a kid, most of my goals were were around personal accomplishments. Over time, i've gravitated more toward trying to use my time and energy to benefit other people. When you reach a goal do you then create another goal? I think part of the joy of the journey is knowing that there's a destination out ahead.
