I think we should look at what the emergency first steps are to be able to reopen that communication with people and then start communicating services through those. There's a massive savings for a city that's spending tens of thousands of dollars on people to not be able to provide ongoing services to them. I would say anybody who looked at me as a young girl would have said there is no way she's going to do the things she has ended up doing in her life. My family's had it with addiction and losing my father to violent crime. To me that's what I see in my family, so I'm not putting aside We need real resources," says Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.
