How did that joint effort to marginalize the left so quickly get turned against liberals, even pro war liberals? The rhetoric of national unity after 9/11 immediately starts settling scores rhetorically. It starts attributing blame for nine 11 to those whom it considers to have it. And then apportioned blame forNine 11 to those who sees as supporting and maintaining both the intellectual and bureaucratic intera structure that has inhibited,. in their view, the united states from stopping nine 11 in the first place.
Episode one of The Dig's three-part War on Terror series the with Spencer Ackerman: 9/11, bipartisan war fever, and George W. Bush.
