The Psychology of Modeling
There's a huge demand to avoid catastrophe in apocalypse by making models work. I'm thinking about our own independent electricity systems operative in Ontario here who's come up with a net zero by 2050 plan. The psychology of modeler, I don't think, is that of a risk taker. Modeling serves an aim. That aim may or may not be aligned with the public good. And the public good itself may be a thing that is hotly debated between different parties.
