i assume there is not a day that goes by in which you are not asked about the thomas hearings and all that has happened for you since. What i hear you saying is that part of the emotional labor is writing a book like this and holding on to to hope that it can improve. But yes, i wanted to process my own story as well as to integrate the whole range of stories into what i see is as an urgent social issue.
