Is Inflation Driving Business Decisions?
Businesses expect inflation to be high, and so they expect to keep raising prices for their goods and raising wages for their workers going forward. That suggests a different causal pathway where instead of inflation expectations driving inflation, it might in turn drive more inflation. I think the more it's sort of an aberrational, coved thing, the less people will look at it as what i expect like life to be like going forward. We should treat some of these hikes as anomalies caused not just by by covet, but by the bidon stimulus,. which might have been a little too big, in retrospect, compared to what the economy wanted.
