Do the Dishes - Is That a Good Productivity Hack?

A blogger named Yarrow Steric talks about this technique he uses for getting into the working mode, which is just do the dishes. A low level mindless task that it's easy to motivate yourself to do can kind of get you into the work mode and kind of like prime your brain for work. "I don't know if this works for everyone, but for me, the act of like getting up in the morning and washing my dishes and maybe doing laundry if I have to actually does kind of prime my brain to get into that work mode," she says.
