Everybody who has a brokerage account has the right to file an arbitration. You can't throw it out based on the fact that it's frivolous. The firms write a small check, hey, i'll pay this guy off five thousand, ten thousand dollars better than wasting 50 thousands. They're just making a smart business decision. And they are going to be filing as arbitrations because it costs them nothing. I think robin hood may have been under the false impression that we don't have to worry about these arbitrations.
