Is There a Moral Importance for Android to Be an Open Compute Platform?
With Apple it's like you have the app store or you have the web and for some people that's not a bug that's a feature. If enough powerful people have enough powerful incentives there could be apps that people just believe are fundamental to their use models. I'm hoping one of those things where you have to literally reboot the device to get it into a state where you can start sideloading apps because otherwise people are going to just find ways to trick you into sideloading stuff all the time. But put aside the money apple this is what so many people who are hyper focused on the money don't see is that apple across the company has reasons to want this control over the platform
