The Don'tself tradition of what we call ethnic nationalism is important in Ukrainian political life. It matters in Ukrainian diaspora, it continues in North America. Ivan the Rudnitsky was holically Jewish. His grandmother was born Edith Spiegel. In the Habsburg monarchy she married a Ukrainian.
