The Importance of Personal Relationships in Shamanism
I like the way both just now when you're speaking and in your book you draw these analogies to kind of personal relationships which I think makes the nature of these relationships more or comprehensible to those of us who grow up in cities. Giving creating a sense of animals as having a kind of personhood and that human-animal relations that even maybe even that phrase isn't sort of the most accurate. If we want to understand those relations we should envision them as being more like human to human relationships as well rather than casting them in the mold of a completely different category of relations, he says.
