The Dark Mountain Project Is a Dark Story

The idea of technological mastery has a long human history, we can treat this all the way back to one of the Greek myths of Parithius. So it's partly a story of hubris, of power but also I think is a story partly grown out of desperation triggered by the previous story of a hot house or a runaway climate change. And I just finished with two final stories that I see circling in various public discourses and settings. One here is the story of an unmaking civilization. This particularly was crystallized about 12 years ago by Paul Kings North and colleagues when they set up the Dark Mountain Project.
