The Difference Between Talking About a Behavior and Speaking About Something as a Trait of a Person
We're using labels too liberally and broadly based on these behaviors. We get ourselves into a lot of trouble because we are setting up a situation where people are less able to admit they've done those things. And then it can also be really hurtful to victims of that as well when it's like, okay, cool. So you're minimizing this actually really horrible experience that I had because now you want to get in on giving your partner this label.
