Dog Self Regulation
Self regulation is a concept, a conceptual skill that we would like the dog to have. What we keep coming back to is utilizing reinforces that exist in the environment. So i'm teaching the puppy the concept using food, that i control using food. But when they or even put it this way, they want outside of a door, they want access to something, i would then do the same thing. I wouldn't give, i wouldn't open the door until they self regulate a little bit,. You know, thy they want to go out. It's established they want to play with their dog friends.
