The Importance of Book Reviews

Book reviews aren't created equal and they serve different functions so some are summary and give you a kind of a sense of what's in that but others spark interest. I remember reading your review which is very engaging and I was like man this is a really good review but it also like shapes the way that I'm thinking about not just the book but also the field  I sent you an email and just said I really appreciated your your review it was I enjoyed reading it and you just sent back a quick note that said you know thanks and it's an important work in the field. Just that small interaction it made me read Bocknell's book more closely and then that's his work
