Hacking the Heuristics in the Counter-Insurgency Environment
The human brain has surprisingly big limitations when it comes to just thinking about even simple things. The way the brain is structured is kind of where rewarded when we don't have to think, probably a product of our evolutionary history as metabolic resources were limited. And so anytime we can kind of simplify and park things, we get a little reward response. That's really interesting. I mean, do you think compassion is teachable? And if so, what's your hypothesis on how to do that?
