Miltrim Farms' Decision to Go With Automated Milking Robots
Five years ago, Miltrim Farms had to decide whether to build a new parlor or house automated milking robots. The farm sits in a low water area because of shale rock so we have to be very effective with our water use. We also went through that turn period where labor was very hard to find. And how are we going to milk three thousand cows with, you know, three people? So that really pushed us into looking even harder at robots.
