The Need for More Social Housing
Rents are going up about 5% at the moment, which is the fastest rate of rising in at least 15 years. So you need more rental properties coming onto the market to help increase and bring down prices. But slicker planning regulations would be a really great place to start. I think it's really interesting that there is consensus now on the need for more social housing. We've got 4.4 million households renting from a private landlord than living in social housing right now.
