LZ Granderson: I went to Guatemala with John Perkins, who was in the Peace Corps and got very involved with indigenous people. LZ: We realized there's a shaman involved in these Mayan projects, but the shaman is not part of any of our meetings or we don't know who he is. He says they met with this remarkable Mayan shaman named Roberto Pose at midnight on a mountain top near Totonica,. LZ: The shaman asked us to lie down around the fire with our feet towards the fire. His voice and the drum and the whistling and the chanting and the night air and the incredible experience of the stars overhead was just hypnotic.
