When we metabolize fat for energy, we require about 20% more coenzyme A from vitamin B5 than when we burn carbohydrate. With that said, there is some evidence that if you are deficient in B5, or at least if you're very deficient or your metabolism of vitamin B5 is impaired, then a high fat diet could be way more than 20% more stressful.
