The Importance of Trial and Error in Endurance Training

There's no shortcut to duking it out on the race course and trying different methods. Arthur Lydier was first guy in 1950s, a legendary New Zealand running coach who realized if you do most of that running at like a nice comfortable, easy pace and then sort of choose your moments to go to the well. That seems to work really well. And so there's a copycatting. It's very similar to evolution in the natural world when, you know, survival of the fittest takes place.
