The soviets started using the a tactic they call the taran, which was, in effect, ramminga german aircraft. These were all pilots, you know, properly trained pilots in the best aircraftthat that the soviets had at the time. And their instinct is, i'm just toging to crash into the nearest german plane and bringing them down, because that that's what i need to do. The germans are shooting them out of the sky by the dozen.
