The BJP has not moved away from the right wing narrative, he says. What made them right wing was Hindu nationalism and overcoming caste because caste elections in this country were one on caste. So there is a fundamental thing where you appease your vote bank, which is why you know it is political. The UPA was supposed to be left wing, but when it came to economic policies, they came right.
