Cleopatra and the Nile River

Cleopatra was 18 when she became the pharaoh of egypt in 51 b c. She had been preparing her entire life for the job. Her brother, ptolemy, fled to rome and convinced the romans to join him. Ptolemy's army later won the alexandrian war but he did not survive. But cleopatra knew if she made the right moves,. she could become the next ruler once he was gone. And sure enough, by 51 b c, e pTolemy died and Cleopatra became the new queen - with julius caesar as emperor.
